Remembering Kimberly “Kim” Perry Whiteley

Kim Perry Whiteley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home on October 6, 2024, at the age of 56. Kim was born in Easton, MD, on June 7, 1968, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Perry. She was the youngest child of Waterfowl Festival co-founder William A. Perry and his wife Betty. Kim was a familiar face at the festival from the time she was a child, through her Ducksitter years, and eventually as Co-Chairman of the Carving Committee with her sister Debbye Perry Jackson.

Kim attended St. Michaels High School. After graduation, Kim started working at the Star Democrat in Easton. On September 9, 1989 Kim and Tyler were married. They just celebrated 35 years together.

Kim is survived by her husband, Tyler; son, Ty (Sarah); daughters; Faith (Nolan) and Kamryn; her grandchildren; Bodhi Adams, Declan, Isabelle, Carter and Presley Whiteley; her mother-in-law, Maryann Whiteley; her brothers;

Bruce (Louise) Perry, Bruce E (Patty) Perry; her sister, Denise Riley; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Perry; her father-in-law, George Allen Whiteley; her sister, Debbye Jackson; and her brother, Bill Perry. The family will receive guests and friends at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Easton on Friday, October 11th from 3pm until 5pm. A memorial celebration will immediately follow at 5pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
