David Turner Among Distinguished Artists at 55th Annual Waterfowl Festival
David Turner was born, raised, and resides on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, a wildlife-rich peninsula sandwiched between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean where David’s life-long study of wildlife began. He has a degree in Biology from the College of William & Mary and a minor in Studio Art. David and his father own and manage Turner Sculpture, serving since 1983 as their studios, bronze foundry and gallery. He has created over 300 limited edition bronzes and 75 large public-commissioned sculptures including works for the National Zoo, Brookgreen Gardens, and Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland. He is a Fellow Member of the National Sculpture Society, a Signature Member of the Society of Animal Artists, recipient of the Living Legend Award presented by the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art and Waterfowl Festival Hall of Fame.
