Laura McGowan
Laura McGowan is an oil painter living and working in Onancock, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She shows her work in galleries in Virginia Beach, Delaware and New Jersey, and participates in many art shows and festivals in the mid-Atlantic region.
Marshes, creeks, farmland, the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful Eastern Shore skies provide endless inspiration. Laura strives to capture the peace and quiet beauty of a moment in time, combining studio work with plein air painting. She has won awards in the Paint Onancock Plein Air event, the VES Land Trust Plein Air event, and the Oxford Fine Arts show.
