SUMMARY:Workshop: Macrosculptures with Spencer Tinkham
DESCRIPTION:Macrosculptures balance art with science\, abstraction with realism\, and sculpting with painting.  These large wall-hanging works present the viewer with magnified perspectives of specific bird specimens with intriguing narratives.  Tinkham uses a box cutter to sculpt the magnified feathers in basswood.  Watch a feather emerge as he slices through wood with surgical precision.  During this demonstration\, Tinkham will sculpt a larger than life Green-Winged Teal feather.
