Artist Bio:

Growing up in beautiful Maryland farmland, Mary naturally drew inspiration from her surroundings. Spending time riding her horse through the striking abundance of the landscape instilled in her a strong sense of attachment and belonging. This inspired her to share her experience through artistic expression. Demonstrating a natural ability and interest from an early age her work had already began drawing awards and recognition. Mary went on to formal training at the Maryland Institute and College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. Her fine art education and studies continued with acclaimed landscape and plein air artists John Buckley Good and John Brandon Sills.

While Mary works full-time painting in her studio and plein air, she also teaches fine art at The Mitchell School of Fine Art in Baltimore. Since 1995 Mary has been a professional artist painting murals and fine art in the Baltimore Washington area. In more recent years she has been participating in plein air competitions and events. She now has a second home in the picturesque Tilghman Island Maryland where she and her husband Jeff, and two boys -Noah and Calllaway spend summers and weekends.
